'Trip of a lifetime'
Cycling from London to Hong Kong

Laurence Gribble (SH 02-09) has been in touch saying ……
” I have just graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge, reading Chinese Studies. Having finished university, a fellow sinologist and I, accompanied part of the way by two others, are embarking on a post-graduation 'trip of a lifetime'. We are cycling from London to Hong Kong, 15,000km in total across 15 countries. We are aiming to raise £15,000 for Prostate Cancer UK. Most of our preparations were put on hold until after finals and graduation, but we are now in full swing. We will be leaving from Buckingham Palace on 10 July, very soon indeed!
As you can imagine, raising that kind of money requires a fair amount of exposure and media coverage. We have hit local and national news to get as much publicity as possible. We have even been in touch with Boris Johnson, who wishes us all the best. The more coverage we get the better. As such, is there any way in which the Old St Beghian Society would be able to help publicise our event? Any help that you can give us would be tremendously appreciated.
        Our website is: http://journey-to-the-east.com/”.
